Fireplace Inspection in Pacific Palisades, CA

What we cover on a fireplace inspection visit in Pacific Palisades

The Palisades Fire in January 2025 destroyed thousands of buildings here, so a Pacific Palisades call is often about a house that survived next to lots that did not, or a new house with a factory-built fireplace that has never been lit. Either way we write down what we saw before anyone lights the first fire.

Smoke and heat from a fire next door can crack flue tiles and warp a damper or cap without leaving marks you can see from the room. For a house that stood through the fire, we suggest a camera look up the flue and a check of the cap and spark arrestor before it goes back into use.
