Learn MoreHow we work in Malibu
Malibu is the far end of our map from West Hollywood, so we plan those days ahead and fit the full visit into one trip. Beach condos along PCH can share a stack, much like our home buildings, and we note each unit on its own. Canyon houses get a close look at the cap and spark arrestor first. The Woolsey Fire burned through much of Malibu in November 2018, and ember screens on chimneys still matter here every fall. Salt air also rusts caps and chase covers faster than in town, so a Malibu note usually includes a photo of any metal part that has started to go.
In a Building
Beach condos along PCH that share a stack get a note per unit and a roof list for the association.
In a House
Canyon houses get the cap and spark arrestor checked first, and any rust from salt air photographed while it is still a small fix.
Same Day, Nearby
Malibu visits often share a day with Point Dume, Malibu Colony, Big Rock.
Who Gets the Notes
Owner, tenant, manager or board: you tell us at booking, and each gets the Malibu photos that apply to them.
