A Neighborhood Chimney Company in West Hollywood
Tell Us About the Building
Send your name, number, and how many fireplaces there are. We call back to set a day and sort out roof and unit access.
Why We Work Building by Building
West Hollywood is small, about 1.89 square miles, and in the 2020 census roughly four out of five homes in the city were rented. Many sit in apartment buildings from the 1920s and later, and in newer condo buildings. So the person who calls us is often a tenant, the owner of one unit, or a manager, and the chimney may serve more than one home.
Montgomery Chimney Services plans around that. Before the visit we ask how many fireplaces there are, wood or gas, and who can open the roof and the units. On the day, each fireplace is swept and inspected on its own, and we work out which flue serves which unit.
Afterwards each fireplace gets a note with photos, and anything the building shares, like the crown, the cap or a common flue, goes on a separate list. The owner, the tenant and the board each get the part that is theirs. A house gets the same treatment: three fireplaces, three notes.
How a Montgomery Visit Is Run
Four habits behind every booking, from one condo to a whole courtyard building.
A Note for Every Fireplace
Two fireplaces mean two notes. In a building, each unit gets its own, so nobody has to dig through someone else's findings to find theirs.
Buildings, Not Just Houses
Condos, duplexes and apartment courts make up most of West Hollywood. We plan around shared stacks, roof access and the people who run the building.
Gas Gets the Same Care
A gas fireplace still has a vent, a valve and a pilot. We check them as carefully as a brick flue, because many of the units we visit burn gas.
Straight Answers
We explain what we found with photos, say which items can wait, and leave the decision with you. If a sweep is all it needs, that is what we say.
What You Have After a Visit
Keep these with the unit or building papers. They make next year quicker, and they help when a unit is sold.
One Unit or the Whole Building
Call with the address and the number of fireplaces. We will plan the visit and sort out access with whoever runs the building.
